Be sure to watch the airlines next week, with the FOMC meeting and Treasury bond auctions, it should be a volatile week for the US Dollar (with the most risk to the upside) which in turn will affect oil.
In addition to the big economic news events, the airlines have wedged very nicely here, check out Continental Airlines:
Going into next week, I’ve got calls in $UAUA, $CAL, and $JBLU.
The screenshot above is from Flight Control for the iPhone, which is the most addicting game I’ve played in a long time!
I like this wedge in the $NG_F spot chart. I do all my commodity etf technical analysis with the actual underlying commodity, rather than the specific etf (in this case $UNG).
I’m pretty loaded up with $UNG at this point: stock in the IRA, and a boatload of July and October 15 calls.
Looking at a monthly chart of the S&P 500 shows just how much damage has been done! At the end of every month, I like to take a look at monthly charts, just to put things into perspective.
You’ve got to love this move in natural gas! I see this high 13.50-14
level as a "significant higher low." I think many different forces
are all aligning for a very bullish natural gas case. I’m loaded with $UNG calls and holding $UNG in my IRA.
Last week we had our first Penguin chick hatch, this week there are several others on their way! The weather is suppose to be great, my trading this week was fantastic, I’m all set to have another great week!
I’m continuing to experiment with stock options, playing small to get some practice.
At this point I’ve got $SLW and $UNG calls (to play inflation), as well as $XLF and $GE calls (to play the bank stress test results, and economic turnaround).
Still trying to figure out how to use options to complement my strategy, but having fun and making a little bit of cash learning.
Looks like the bottom is in! With this volume, the economy turning, hurricane season on the horizon, and quantitative easing, Natural Gas has plenty of room to soar!
I have sine taken my $UNG off the table, in order to free capital. I did however, pick up some $UNG calls to play the continued upside.
I'm a 26-year-old Animal Keeper working with the Penguins at the San Francisco Zoo. I love all animals, but have a particular fondness for Penguins, which explains the large number of Penguin photos in my flickr photostream. I tend to twitter a lot more than I blog, and I love facebook for staying in touch with friends.
At work I participate in many "extra-curricular" activities, including the production of the zoo's video podcast. If I didn't have the greatest job in the world, I'd be trading stocks and working in new media...funny thing is: I do trade (as a hobby) and work in new media (also as a hobby, but at work).
