Mahalo Daily is a new internet video show (video podcast, video blog, or vlog - what are we even calling these things anymore!) centered around the Mahalo search engine. The whole idea around Mahalo is “people-powered search”, I’ve played around with it a little, there is definitely some great content that I’m sure to be taking advantage of in the future. It’ll never replace Google for me, but I’m sure it’ll complement my Google addiction.
Anywho, they’ve powered the Mahalo Daily site with WordPress - which is exactly what I’ll be using for the zoo’s new podcast page. I really like how they’ve setup their main page, although the “auto play” on the videos is killing their current archives system; when the page loads it shows all of the episodes at the same time, while allowing them to auto play. It’ll be a quick fix, maybe already fixed by the time you read this, but something that could’ve been caught earlier - just a reminder to always check rollouts.
